Diversity and inclusion has become tech’s latest buzz topic, but few if any companies are making significant strides in this area. Although everyone is talking about it, few are doing enough about it. The inaugural Tech Inclusion Conference, taking place in San Francisco on September 11-12, was created to address just that. This unique event will feature two full days of panel discussions, workshops, fireside chats and a career fair. The organizers promise a chance to network, share best practices, co-create solutions, and initiate change in the tech industry. The conference is open to all, from engineers and designers to HR reps, entrepreneurs and other change makers.
Just a sampling of the companies attending: Google, Yelp, Twitter, Atlassian, Paypal, SoftLayer, Square, Pinterest, Twilio, Slack, Kapor Capital, Intel Capital, National Venture Capital Association, 500 Startups, UC Berkeley, UC Hastings, Engine, Daily Dot, USA Today, and many more.
This should be a really interesting and productive day so I encourage anyone who can to attend.
