Hi Everyone! I’m checking in with an update about CailaKSpeaks.com. CailaKSpeaks has been my blog since 2009. It started as a personal blog and has undergone many makeovers over the years. In 2015, during a discouraging period of unemployment, I dusted the cobwebs off of CailaKSpeaks and started blogging again. I wrote about everything from how Andre Iguodala’s Finals MVP win inspired me to blacks in tech. Then, I slowly began interviewing people whose journeys to success inspired me. I was especially drawn to people who had one role by day, but were side hustling with an entrepreneurial endeavor by night. Before I knew it, I was starting a podcast to bring these stories to life. And I have been pouring all of my energy and time into the Side Hustle Pro podcast since.
Birthed in June 2016, the Side Hustle Pro podcast aims to shatter the predominant narrative of entrepreneurship by highlighting the stories of bold, black women entrepreneurs who have scaled from side hustle to profitable business owner. I absolutely love sharing these stories and the movement we are building.
In order to build the Side Hustle Pro movement, I will be taking an indefinite hiatus from blogging at CailaKSpeaks. I’ll be sure to keep you posted as I learn how I want to transition CailaKSpeaks. In the interim, you can find me blogging about all things side hustle, personal branding and social media marketing over at SideHustlePro.co.
