4 Things You Need to Read This Monday

  1. Have you ever felt like a brilliant fraud? Like, yes, you managed to pass through your company’s interview process and even made it through the first week of work without anyone figuring you out, but somehow, one day, you just know they will? Well it turns out that if you’ve ever felt like an imposter, this may actually be a sign of greatness.giphy (1)

  2. This article, How I Became A Morning Person, Read More Books, And Learned A Language In A Year, jumped out at me last week. My first reaction was definitely, huh? giphy (2)Like, ok girl, tell me anything, you overachiever. But after actually reading it, it’s not as daunting as it seems. Most of the time I try to start a new habit, I’m trying to start 5 new habits at once (hello, New Years Day). This post emphasizes that you need to do everything in moderation. For example, commit to reading a single page of a book a day, and when you have turned that into a routine, introduce a new habit that you want to stick to, and so on.

  3. Speaking of habits, these 7 million-dollar habits of the super successful are all on point. I’ve started working on all of these habits this year by applying the slight edge approach – starting out with simple, bite-sized goals for each day. I know I’ll be amazed at what I can accomplish in a year, especially if I can finally get the hang of meditation.giphy (3)

  4. Get into this list of the Black Women of Forbes 2016 30 Under 30.  I know the Forbes list has been out for a while now, but I just had a chance to read all the profiles of the women of color. I am loving all of this black girl magic, cheering for each of them from the sidelines and absolutely inspired to keep going after my goals.  giphy

  1. My friend just sent me an article of yours and I’ve spent the last hour hungrily reading darn near everything on this site. Thank you so much for creating such an awesome, inspirational, black girl magical *insert other great adjectives here* space!! Love it!
