App: Livid, A new, interactive way to join and create fan communities

Corey Wooten and Ray Gordon, Jr recently launched the Livid app on iOS. Realizing that fans and their social media actions are part of the driving force that make celebrities who they are, the South Jersey entrepreneurs created Livid to reward those loyal fans.  The app allows fans to participate in challenges that reward “Vid” points. Fans can take actions like sharing video footage, “Liking” posts and commenting to earn the coveted points which serve as in-app currency. The creators ultimate plan to partner with celebrities and brands to fuel fan interaction. Vid currency will then be able to be put towards brand-specific rewards. With a big launch and push during the recent Made in America festival, Wooten and Gordon are working hard to promote and drive downloads of Livid. Fortunately, Wooten and Gordon have already secured $250,000 in seed funding to build and grow the Livid platform.
